  • Don't delay bowel movements
  • Limit sitting time
  • Stool softeners if needed

Research Status

Dietary fiber and topical treatments first line. Rubber band ligation for internal hemorrhoids. Surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) for severe cases. Newer techniques include infrared coagulation.
